Globally, governments are mandating a switch from internal combustion engine (ICE) technology to electric-drive vehicles in 100s of millions combat climate change. For example, on 29 June 2022, the European Union (EU) agreed framework eliminate carbon emissions new cars and vans by 2035, effectively removing ICE option for large-scale auto manufacturers [1] . Automakers already moving quickly innovate, reduce electric drive costs leverage respond this environment.
